Despite trailing 1-0 at the break, the Wolves finished the first half on top and they picked up where they left off after the resumption.
Substitute Darcy Madden pounced on a corner to open Wollongong's account in the 52nd minute before Thomas James put the Wolves in front just five minutes later. Lachlan Scott then added two more to secure a 4-1 victory.
Wollongong coach Luke Wilkshire was thrilled with his team's ruthlessness in the second half.
"It was another great away performance," Wilkshire said. "The boys were fantastic, especially in the second half. I was delighted to go up there, to a difficult place to play and get the three points.
"We knew once we got one, we'd get more. They've done it all year, they get up and get one and they don't rest on their laurels. They keep going and keep pushing."
The contest was a fiery one, with Mt Druitt's Blake Thompson sent off after receiving a second yellow card in the 76th minute.
Despite the match threatening to erupt at times, the Wolves maintained their composure to close out the game and maintain their place at the top of the NSW Men's National Premier League table.
"Every game we've had a lot of it," Wilkshire said. "They try to get physical and kick lumps out of us, the boys have learnt to deal with that.
"Our boys are very hard to play against and sometimes that's a resort other teams go to. Our boys were fantastic in dealing with that and letting the referees do their thing."
