Daemon Lightowlers, nine, is on a mission to help the homeless of the Illawarra - and needs your support.
The third Illawarra Street Kitchen, run by not-for-profit organisation 'Daemon helps the homeless' will take place at Wollongong Train Station on Sunday, August 18 from 4pm to 7.15pm.
'Daemon helps the homeless' is a grassroots group run by the Oak Flats child, his family and various helpers.
The Street Kitchen is a free welfare service "for anyone and everyone in need".
After the success of the first two Street Kitchen events, organisers are seeking donation of snack food and non-perishable items.
This includes donations of tinned spaghetti, baked beans or tuna; cup-a-soups, cup-a-noodles, muesli bars, packets of biscuits and any other similar items.
Also, donations of any spare blankets, sleeping bags, beanies and other warm items would be welcomed.
Illawarra drop-off points for items are Spanline Illawarra at Albion Park Rail; Ratha's Place at Oak Flats and Horizon Credit Union Wollongong.
