"It's a hobby of ours to do every two years, to build a new property and (then) develop another one," Mr Andronopoulos said.
"I think we're addicted to The Block... We like inspiration, and we get a lot of inspiration from that show.
"It pulls the trigger - 'let's do it again'."
The couple's latest project entailed them buying a block at 6 Pier Avenue, Shell Cove in late 2015.
Construction on the home began in 2017, which was completed in 2018.
The couple listed the property for sale.
It was initially passed in at auction last February, and later was listed with a price guide of $1,650,000.
It was on the market for 331 days, before being sold for $1,572,000 earlier this month to a Canberra buyer.
Mr Andronopoulos, 35, said they weren't going to "accept any offer, because we knew the value of the house... and what it presents in the near future with all the development at Shell Cove".
"We weren't restricted to getting rid of it straight away, because there were opportunities along the way to sell it," he said. "We just had to wait for that right price.
"After Christmas, as the media has stated, the market has kicked off again. I think our house (selling) is a true reflection of that."
According to Pricefinder, this is the highest sale in the suburb since 21 Buckleys Road, Shell Cove sold for $1,605,000 in 2014.
Sitting on 483.3sqm, the Pier Avenue home is located in the future marina precinct and includes four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
The house features open-plan living spaces which have been designed around the resort-style saltwater pool.
The designer kitchen with butler's kitchen is open to the dining, where the glass doors open out to the alfresco area.
"It's a designer home, it's in a couple of hundred metres' proximity to the Shell Cove town centre," Mr Andronopoulos said.
"In the other section on the other side it's a few hundred metres to the beach. So it's got the best of both worlds."
The selling agent was Ray White Shellharbour City director Amanda Bonnici.
Ms Bonnici said the property being for sale for nearly a year was indicative of where the market was at in 2019.
"Last year was probably one of the worst years for the market in Shell Cove," she said.
"Whereas even from December it's started to feel like it's picked up.
"In the past couple of months, everything that had been sitting on the market there has pretty much sold.
"I think the market everywhere in general has picked up. We've had more people through the open houses on Saturdays than we did last year, just during the past three weeks. There's more inquiries and more interest."
Mr Andronopoulos said they now planned to buy a block in a new land release within the marina precinct at Shell Cove, and build again.
"At the moment we're just looking at which one we're going to purchase," he said.
