They are awarded in three categories: Order of Australia Honours (General and Military Divisions); Meritorious Awards; and Distinguished and Conspicuous Awards (Military).
Recipients this year will be presented with their awards either by the Governor-General at Government House in Canberra when COVID-19 restrictions allow.

Bede Parkes
Helensburgh treasure Bede Parkes is being recognised with an OAM for her life's service to her community. She manned the White Elephant Stall at Holy Cross Catholic Primary School Fete for 40 years and volunteered for her Holy Cross Catholic Church her whole life. Read more.
Joe Davidson
Wollongong's Joe Davidson has spent much of his life in the service of others, or of organisations - from the sporting field to the military field. When he receives his Medal of the Order of Australia on Monday it will be after a long career - still in progress - doing the kind of jobs that make a community what it is. Read more.
Chief Inspector John Klepczarek
For Chief Inspector John Klepczarek, working to put Matthew de Gruchy behind bars and helping to solve the Frank Arkell murder in the 1990s have been the highlights of his more than 30-year career. The long-serving officer has now been awarded a Queens Birthday Honours' Australian Police Medal. Read more.
James and Rae Doak
Berry couple James and Rae Doak have been awarded OAMs for their service to the community of the Illawarra. Mr Doak is the long-time president of the Gerroa Community Association. Mrs Doak is vice-president and former president of Nowra Lions Club. Read more.
Mick Berghuis
Mick Berghuis considers himself to be a lucky man. The Woonona musician is being recognised with an OAM for service to the community through music. While happy with the award, the 80-year-old is just thankful he has been able to follow his dreams. Read more.
Terry Wetherall
Terry Wetherall, of Mangerton, is being recognised with an AM for significant service to business and commerce, the superannuation sector and the community. Mr Wetherall was humbled by the honour and said it was a very proud moment for him. Read more.
John Morahan
A Helensburgh man has been recognised for his dedication to education and training within the NSW Police Force. John Morahan received a Public Service Medal for outstanding public service to the organisation during the Queen's Birthday Honours. Read more.
