Alan Wilkie, wife Jenny and children Thomas, Amber and Erin have collaborated on a family COVID-19 lockdown project, a recording of Prismatic Light by Alan Fernie.
The family of brass musicians, woodwind musicians and percussionists have made a multi-track recording and video in an aim to boost everyone's mood.
The family members play with the Wollongong City Brass Band, Junior Brass Band and Wind Band.
Mr Wilkie said the recording/video solely featured the five family members, each recorded and filmed playing multiple parts of the song.
"For the purposes of the video, there were a lot of costume changes, so the kids had a lot of fun with that," he laughed.
"We spent one weekend recording all the parts, and we didn't originally plan to video it.
"We sent it to a few people, and they said, 'you should have video-ed yourselves'.
"It's something people are doing around the world; more so in the past few months because of bands not being able to get together.
"So we thought we'd have a go at it too. It was a lot of work to put together.'
