OF all the things Dragons coach Paul McGregor expected to deal with this season, a breakfast furore certainly wasn't one of them.

And yet there he was at WIN Stadium on Thursday night down a Test forward after Paul Vaughan was sprung having breakfast at a local cafe in contravention of the NRL's strict biosecurity protocols.
What the NSW Origin prop had for breakfast is yet to be confirmed, but you'd hope it was good given it'll cost him two matches on the sideline in NRL-enforced quarantine.
The 29-year-old publicly apologised for actions he deemed "selfish" and "reckless," while CEO Ryan Webb said further club-imposed sanctions were "not out of question."
It will see him miss next week's clash with the Eels ahead of a possible return against Brisbane in round 15, the day after his isolation period ends.
By then the finals bird may well of flown, if it didn't take flight with Thursday's 24-16 loss to an under-manned Roosters.
It was just one stunning development on Thursday, with Souths coach Wayne Bennett also ordered into quarantine for a fortnight after admitting to sharing lunch with his partner at a Leichhardt restaurant on Wednesday.
On the flip-side, Roosters coach Trent Robinson had nine top-liners missing and still felt comfortable dropping the competition's leading point-scorer Kyle Flanagan.
On the sideline with him were the likes of Boyd Cordner, Josh and Brett Morris, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Daniel Tupou, Angus Chrichton, Victor Radley and Sam Verrills.
Still, the reigning premiers did what they do, leading 10-0 early and doing enough in the second half to outlast the hosts after the scores were locked at halftime.
It will keep them in the top four and leave the Dragons languishing in 11th spot, and more than likely three wins out of the top eight by the end of the round.
Things got off to a disastrous start with Tariq Sims - who didn't finish the match due to a shoulder injury - spilling the ball cold in the very fist set.
Joey Manu barged across from dummy-half three rucks later, with Siosiua Taukeiaho converting for a 6-0 lead after just two minutes.
300-gamer Mitch Aubusson crossed 11 minutes later on the opposite edge after a deft exchange of passing, with Taukeiaho's attempt at the extras waved away.
The Dragons finally hit back through Zac Lomax, cutting the margin back to six. The injection of Tristan Sailor 10 minutes before the break proved telling, with the livewire utility threading through a neat grubber for Lomax's second try six minutes before halftime that locked the scores at 10 apiece.
It gave them a sniff but the Roosters quickly took command of the match in the second half, with Sitili Tupouniua crossing for a 16-0 lead just three minutes after the resumption.
With the match in the balance the Dragons paid a big price for letting a Luke-Keary bomb bounce, with the ball falling into the arms of James Tedesco, who found Manu for his second try and a 20-10 lead.
Keary put the match to bed with his four-pointer five minutes from time for a 24-10 lead before Matt Dufty grabbed a late consolation try with a grubber and chase to post the finals points of the match.
