In the application, which is open for comment until Wednesday, experienced market operators Claire Roberts and Kerrie Humphrey say they hope to establish a "family and community-oriented market day" with the option to run weekly or fortnightly on a Saturday.
There would be roughly 50 stallholders, including international food, arts and music plus a variety of craft, plants, fresh produce and "general products" and the markets would be open to the public from 9am to 3pm, the plans say.
"We hope to offer an outlet of environmentally, sustainable, and ethically sourced items at our Corrimal Park market the first and third Saturday every month," a vision statement attached to the plans said.
They say the plan will boost traffic to the area and boost revenue for local businesses and tourism.
