While many of the large organised community gatherings were off this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, people still came out in droves across the Illawarra to bathe in the sunshine and the warm weather.
With temperatures across the region in the 30s, much of the festivities were centred around the harbours and beaches across the Illawarra. For others, it was a significant day where they could recognise citizenship to their adopted home.
