The Wollongong athlete recorded victory from Brianna Thossell and Alexandria Perkins in the second quickest 100m butterfly time in the world this year, behind US teen Claire Curzan.
The national titles on the Gold Coast are being held as part of a qualification process for Tokyo 2020, with trials to take place in June. This week, McKeon has clearly signaled her Olympic intentions.
Saturday's performance came just a day after McKeon beat the great Cate Campbell to claim the win in the 100m freestyle, clocking 52.49 seconds - the third fastest freestyle time in the world in 2021.
