A 37-year-old man accused of chasing two girls along New Lake Entrance Road on Sunday night has been identified in court as Leon Simpson.

Police were told two 13-year-old girls left a Shellharbour cinema about 9pm and were walking along the road when they allegedly noticed a man following them.
The girls said they tried to hide, but he allegedly approached and attempted to speak to them.
Officers attended and commenced inquiries.
The girls were not physically harmed or touched during the incident.
A short time later, with the assistance of the NSW Police Dog Unit, Simpson was found in a nearby creek.
During a search, police allegedly found cannabis and bank cards in various names on the man.
The 37-year-old Oak Flats man was arrested and taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station, where he was charged with two counts of stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm, possess prohibited drug and goods in personal custody suspected being stolen.
In Wollongong Local Court on Monday, Simpson did not apply for bail and it was formally refused.
Simpson will reappear in court on April 28.
