A 16-year Illawarra real estate veteran has again featured in a list ranking the top female agents throughout Australia.
Amanda Bonnici has been included in Real Estate Business magazine's Top 50 Women in Real Estate ranking for 2021.
Ms Bonnici is the selling principal at Ray White Shellharbour City.
This year, she was ranked at Number 24, after landing at Number 43 on the previous list.
Ms Bonnici, 48, has consistently made the list - which recognises the nation's top 50 based on data for residential sales - since its launch several years ago.
The ranking uses three major metrics to definitively rank participants using a comparative score: the number of properties sold, the total dollar volume of properties sold, and the average sale value across a 12-month period.
Warilla's Ms Bonnici sold more than $86 million worth of property, with an average sale price of $738,485.
She sold 117 residential properties during the calendar year of 2020, with the average listing snapped up after 126 days on the market.
Ms Bonnici has been working in the property industry for 16 years. She was initially encouraged by her father to give it a go, as he thought she'd be good at it.
Ms Bonnici thanked her staff, and said the ranking was good recognition for hard work during a "big year", whereby they had to adapt to changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
She said the area's property boom was strongly boosted by Sydney-siders, who were looking to relocate and work from home due to the pandemic.
"They thought that if they have to go back a couple of days a week, they could still travel from the Shellharbour area to Sydney," she said.
"And we've started doing online auctions... We're just trying to move with the times."
Meanwhile, Jacqueline Crapp from Raine & Horne, who sells in the Berry area, Nowra and Bomaderry was ranked at Number 32.
