Earlier this year Transport for NSW sought feedback on its proposals to alleviate congestion through the CBDs of these two northern suburbs.
One of these was to increase clearway times along the Princes Highway at Bulli and Lawrence Hargrave Drive at Thirroul at the expense of curbside parking.
At this stage there is no firm date for when any measures will be implemented.
"A feedback report on the two community consultations held for the Bulli and Thirroul traffic improvements is being prepared and is expected to be completed by the end of the year, with an announcement on any changes to follow," a Transport for NSW spokeswoman said.
Another change would see a ban on right turns into Station Street at Bulli from the Princes Highway - just north of the end of Memorial Drive.
That is the preferred option for many motorists looking to access Bulli station and the beach area, avoiding the lights at Park Road.
The change will see that traffic now have to use the intersection, which will see the inclusion of a dedicated right turn green turning signal.
The spokeswoman said channeling all eastbound traffic through the Park Road intersection would not result in an increase in congestion.
"This would improve safety and reduce congestion by stopping vehicles from queuing on the Princes Highway while they wait to turn right into Station Street," she said.
"By implementing the new right turn signal into Park Street and extending the clearway on the Princes Highway in the northbound direction, there would be less congestion and travel times would be reduced."
