The call coincides with research from RedBalloon which reveals 54 per cent of Australians are opting for such presents in a bid to make their Christmas dollar go further.
For Mogo Wildlife Park being near the top of Santa's list would be welcome news after two very tough years of bushfires followed by lockdowns.
But the family run zoo is beginning to bounce back. And that is welcome news for the South Coast because the visitors Mogo Wildlife Park ures contribute more than $2 million to the local economy.
The zoo is also a big employer when it is able to welcome 45,000 visitors a year from western and southwestern Sydney each year.
RedBalloon is also encouraging Sydneysiders to support South Coast communities over the holiday season because it knows they will be welcomed with open arms and appreciated for supporting the regional economy.
