The owners of the brewery located inside the old guesthouse next to Bulli train station, took to Instagram to inform their customers of their decision.
"The COVID commotion has struck, and unfortunately, we've made the decision to temporarily close," the post stated.
"As per our COVID-safety Plan, a staff member has tested positive using a rapid test. We're currently waiting on results from a PCR test, but we felt it best to close until we're sure that it's safe to continue trading.
"No front of house staff have tested positive while on shift, but we're taking all precautions. Staff have been asked to self-isolate and monitor for symptoms. Our team will also get tested before returning back to work."
Resin Brewery has also made the "difficult" decision to can its New Year's Eve event, with all ticket-holders to be contacted shortly to organise a refund.
Owners Brendan Dowd and Stephen House hope they will be in a position to reopen Resin Brewery on January 4.
