Underbelly: Vanishing Act tells of the bizarre disappearance of Melissa Caddick, the high-roller who allegedly embezzled more than $40 million before vanishing into thin air. The audience is taken inside Australian Federal Police's world-first forensics laboratory in Canberra, where the National DNA Program for Unidentified and Missing Persons is underway.
MILLIONS DOLLAR MURDERS
Retired Detective Superintendent Deborah Wallace uses her 30 years' policing experience alongside some of the country's leading detectives, to take viewers inside the investigations of six chilling murder mysteries. She revisits crime scenes, dissects the cases with detectives, questions witnesses and talks to grieving families.
When there are few leads left to investigate police turn to the public for help to solve these crimes, offering a $1 million reward for new information, from someone, somewhere, who may know something.
The series hopes to spark a memory or a change of heart that will bring justice for victims and their families, and the chance of a life-changing reward for a viewer who helps solve the case.
