Less than a week after Tonegato and Millie Boyle were jointly crowned winners of the NRLW Medal, the fullback and teammate Elsie Albert secured St George Illawara's top women's honour on Tuesday night.
Tonegato and Albert played key roles in the Dragons' charge into Sunday's grand final, where they fell 16-4 to the Roosters. Tonegato - who returned to the sport following a successful stint in rugby union - mustered four tries, three assists and 27 tackle breaks this season, while Albert gained close to 100 metres per game. The prop also gained 383 'post-contact' metres during the campaign.
The duo join the company of Shaylee Bent (2020), Jess Sergis (2019) and Holli Wheeler (2018) as winners of the Dragons NRLW Medal.
Bent was also recognised at Tuesday night's ceremony, receiving the coach's award from Jamie Soward.
