Luke Wilkshire's men enjoyed their best-ever Cup campaign in 2021, reaching the round of 16, where they were knocked out by A-League club Central Coast Mariners in Wollongong.
The Wolves will now return to the Cup in 2022 for their round four clash with NSW NPL4 team Western Rage at Ian McLennan Park on Tuesday night.
After last year's impressive effort, I'm sure the goal will be to get through these preliminary round games and into the final 32. The opposition tend to step up for these type of games. For them, it's probably their biggest game of the season. But as far as the Wolves are concerned, they know that the end goal is a potential match-up with an A-League side: so there's always that carrot to make sure they're prepared for it.
