Forman unfazed by poor form in Tigers rout

Forman missed all nine of his shot attempts against the Tigers, finishing with zero points for the second time this season.

"Some games you have it, some games you don't," the 30-year-old forward said.

A productive offensive force on the Hawks' home court this season, Forman hasn't been as effective in four road games.

He is averaging 14.8 points and making a sizzling 55 per cent of his three-point shots at home, but just four points and 6 per cent (1/16) on the road.

"At the moment it seems all the good offensive games I'm having are at home. If I could choose, I guess you'd even it out, but the big thing is I can have a 'doughnut' [zero points] and we still win," he said.

"Unlike the Adelaide game a few weeks ago where I couldn't hit a shot and really struggled to contribute any other way, this time I felt like I was still contributing and I was still helping the team."

Indeed, Forman pulled down nine rebounds against the Tigers, including a couple of key offensive boards.

The Hawks led by three points at half-time.

They fell behind by two at the end of the third period but out-classed the home side down the stretch.

"We took a bit of time to find our feet," Forman said.

"We were struggling at times. Sav [forward Glen Saville] had a great first half that carried us and kept us in the contest."

Forman said the Hawks have a strong belief in themselves and each other to win close games.

"We have confidence in crunch time because we've shown we can get it done, but at no stage are we turning up thinking we can win a game without having to work hard," he said.

"We are confident because of the work we've put in at training and our scouting, so when it comes down to it, we know what they're going to run and how we should defend it.

"We still have lapses in our defence, but to hold teams to the numbers we are is pretty good. We're getting the results and everyone's doing a great job."
