Well-known for his work in the community, particularly the hugely successful i98 Camp Quality Convoy, Haynes has lent his support to the seventh annual Shellharbour KidsFest.
KidsFest is an annual, vibrant, week-long festival for children, their families and carers held from May 18 to 24, across the Shellharbour Local Government Area.
"I was thrilled to be asked to be the ambassador - it's a fantastic concept and it's an honour to be involved," the i98 announcer said.
"The joy the kids get out of being involved in KidsFest is obvious and I am really looking forward to working with the committee to make this year's event as good as the last six."
New KidsFest Shellharbour president Gennifer Anderson said the event was a great way of connecting with families in the Shellharbour area.
"My background was as director at All Saints Pre-school and I just love dealing with children and communities and joined the KidsFest committee five years ago," Mrs Anderson said.
"We have so many beautiful places in the area and we celebrate the environmental, cultural and natural resources of the area and inspire activities that build a strong sense of community and promote Shellharbour as a child-friendly city.
