A couple from the Hunter Valley were travelling northbound from Berry at 10.30am, when the female driver lost control of the vehicle, a Toyota LandCruiser which was also towing a caravan.
Inspector Paul Allman from the Lake Illawarra Local Area Command said neither passenger was injured, while their dog was also uninjured.
“You don’t have to have excessive speed when towing heavy vehicles (to be involved in an accident),” Inspector Allman said.
“The van appears to be in good condition and safety precautions taken… The driver has lost control and it’s gone on to its side.”
There doesn’t appear to be any significant traffic delays as a result of the accident.
