On Thursday night IMB Bank won the Best Secured Personal Loan Lender Award at the Australian Lending Awards.
Chief executive Robert Ryan described it as a great result for the IMB Bank personal loan products team and members.
“Lending is a very competitive market in Australia and we work hard to bring better value banking to our members,” Mr Ryan said.
“A car loan or a personal loan is often one of the first interactions that a person has with a lender so the fact that our products have been recognised a number of times as one of the best in Australia across all categories is great news.”
He said IMB’s competitive New Car Loan and Secured Personal Loan to purchase a used car up to five years old or any other purpose both include fixed interest rates, no penalties for early payout and no ongoing or monthly fees.
This week’s achievement is not the first time IMB has been recognised for its personal loan products.
In 2015 Canstar awarded IMB a 5-star rating for its New Car Loan. That was significant in the industry because no major banks received a 5-star rating for their secured car loans. IMB also received a 4-star rating for its Secured Personal Loan.
At the Mozo Experts Choice Personal Loans Awards in 2015 IMB won the trifecta by picking up the Best New Car Loan Award, Best Used Car Loan Award and Best Secured Personal Loan Award.
