Prather pushed Ogilvy in the face midway through the third quarter of Friday’s 89-74 game three in Perth Wildcats after going nose-to-nose with the Illawarra big-man.
It resulted in officials giving both players unsportsmanlike fouls.
Beveridge disagreed with the decision.
“I have looked at other sports where people have thrown punches or whatever else. You get in someone’s face there and push them in the face, then I don’t know if that is the correct call,” he said.
The call came at what Beveridge believes was a crucial moment when the Hawks trailed by 12 points.
“Of course it was [at a critical moment],” he said.
“There was lots of critical points but I was surprised that it was just an unsportsmanlike on both of them. I thought it might have been more than that”
