Peoplecare led the way for all Australian businesses with contact centres and was assessed on 20 categories. The association benchmarked Peoplecare’s contact centre processes and operations against a range of international best practices.
Chief executive Michael Bassingthwaighte said the recognition was real validation that Peoplecare was on the right track for its vision to set a national benchmark facilitating better health for members. He said the accreditation recognised the amazing work each person in its call centre does in providing an exceptional, world-class service experience.
“The independent endorsement from Auscontact Association bolsters the assurance to our members they are well looked after,” he said.
Auscontact chief executive Fiona Keough said Peoplecare was leading the way nationally and was a great example of how progressive the Illawarra region is when it comes to business best practice.
“Being the first in Australia under the new system to formally recognise their responsibility to their staff and customers in this way should give the Illawarra community, as well as Peoplecare members all around Australia, an enormous sense of pride,” she said.
Peoplecare will be officially awarded their Auscontact Association accreditation in March at a NSW Government supported 2017 launch of the #IllawarraYES initiative to promote Illawarra businesses getting behind youth employment strategies.
