The TAFE NSW graduate is a second generation boilermaker. “I was lost for words when I heard my name and dad was over the moon. It’s definitely the biggest achievement in my career so far”.
Mr Clarke apprenticeship started in 2013 with HVTC and host employer Broadspectrum Project Services (formally Transfield). After completing the Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication at TAFE NSW Wollongong, he went on to study the Certificate IV in Engineering. He is now continuing his study journey with a Diploma of Project Management through OTEN.
“TAFE is definitely something that I look forward to. The training is industry relevant, by teachers who have been involved in engineering and who are still associated with the industry.”
Trainee of the Year was James Wishart. Other winners on Friday night were Oktay Turkman, Emily Lavis, Stella Crick and Alex Sevastis.
