Illawarra Mercury photographer Sylvia Liber photographed the locals enjoying the sets at Shellharbour on Wednesday morning.
Large swells have visited the region in recent days, which saw a hazardous surf warning issued for large parts of the NSW coastline. Conditions were expected to ease over the remainder of the week.
The forecast for Thursday is showers increasing with temperatures between 10-17 degrees. The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting a mainly fine but cool weekend with light winds prevailing.
