Kings will look at third import after Lisch injury

The early diagnosis is a grade two calf tear and, best case scenario, the former Hawk will be out four weeks.

Plenty have suggested the Kings should go looking to add some size to their front court but they could now look to add some back-court depth according to Gaze.

“It sounds like a nasty one, and literally the sound, I was a metre away,” Gaze said.

“Best case scenario is three or four weeks, the worst case you don’t even want to contemplate. Unfortunately at that particular position we’re light-on so we might need top find some help at that particular spot. 

“We have an import spot so a judgement will be made once we have the medical diagnosis. There’s a lot of factors as to why we only have two imports, but in our rationale this was certainly something we thought about.

“It wasn’t the primary reason we went with two. Contrary to others in the media who speculate about our position and our decision-making there’s a variety of reasons.

“You roll the dice in the preseason and hope this sort of thing doesn’t happen but it’s a bonus we have.”
