For a while now this Blue Stars-inspired event has attracted athletic talent from all over NSW in a test of the best over sprint distances.
It was fantastic to see a good number of our athletes, including juniors contesting junior and open events and masters competitors competing in the carnival

In the girls 100 metres IBS Under 12 category, two of the girls backed up with 1st going to Chelsea Ezeoke 13.23 and 2nd Holly Rea 14.68.

From the recent Albion Park Carnival, we have two results.
Miki Heywood came 3rd in shot put, discus and the 400m. Zac Heywood came 1st in discus and 2nd in shot put.
Now for a lot of people the Christmas break means going away for a holiday.
Well many of our athletes stayed put to compete in the track classic and parts of the Treloar Shield rounds.
However for young 16-year-old Rosie Tozer, going to Western Australia meant having a go at the WA State Championships.
This resulted in her bringing back to the Gong a gold medal for her win in the Under 17 girls high jump with a height of 1.70 metres. A top effort.
The NSW Country Championships are being held at the Beaton Park track over the Australia Day Long Weekend.
Online entries are now closed.
However if you would like to see athletics in action right across all ages, then entry to the track is free for spectators.
There will be action aplenty.
