Three rooms within the Cabbage Tree Lane home were allegedly used to grow marijuana plants under a hydroponic set-up.
Police will allege the electricity supply had been diverted, sparing the growers the head-turning cost of powering the operation.
Police removed more than 30 plants from the home, some of them two metres tall. The haul has an estimated street value of $60,000.
The discovery has led to a second raid, now underway at a home on Hercules Street, Wollongong, where five rooms and a kitchen have allegedly been devoted to a similar set-up.
The electricity supply to the home was cut about 10am before police were given the all-clear to enter.
Police are in the process of removing an estimated 145 plants from the Hercules Street cottage.
Two men of Vietnamese origin, aged 22 and 27, have been charged and refused bail to appear in Wollongong Local Court on Tuesday.
