It will do that at Wollongong Art Gallery in Burelli Street on August 25 when Michelle Taylor stages her annual Spring Fashion Gala & Cocktail Party showcasing the hottest looks for 2019.
Every year the fashion event is attended by more than 200 women who dress up to have a good time for a great cause.
They gather over some Moet bubbles and the latest fashion in support of the charity Dress For Success.
Since the inaugural event in 2016 support from other businesses in the community has been led by Monika and Rebecca Armstrong of Culinarius who provide the food.
During the last two years it has raised $5000 to help Dress For Success improve the employability of disadvantaged women. It provides a service to help break down barriers for women who have been out of the workforce.
Dress For Success’s mission is to empower more women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional clothing, accessories and styling advice as well as the career development tools to help them thrive in work and life.
It also helps them attend training courses, job interviews and subsequent employment, feeling confident and appropriately dressed.
Bookings for the Spring Fashion Gala & Cocktail Party close soon on Eventbrite.
Mrs Taylor said the format had change a little by moving the starting time back to 4pm.
“This year we’ve decided to host a Met Gala themed Cocktail Party and fashion parade on a Saturday afternoon/evening, so everyone attending can have a glam night out! We also have Humbar booked in as our official after party venue and can’t wait to see everyone on the night “
