Coniston have been forced to sweat on the fitness of Terzic after he came off with a calf injury in the club’s 3-1 preliminary final win over Bellambi last weekend.
The striker, who has fired in a league best 32 goals this season, confirmed he had taken part in training during the week and said he felt ‘good to go’ for the big occasion. It would be a massive addition for Coniston, who will be keen to overturn a 3-1 loss to the Wanderers earlier in the final series. King expects his rivals will be determined to exact revenge.
“They have played us four times and we’ve beaten them three times so we have had the wood on them,” he said.
“However, a grand final is a different proposition and we have are going to have to be at our best.”
Warilla will be looking to defend the grand final crown they claimed last season. If they can it will further improve King’s astounding record in grand finals.
The top District League coach has featured in the main event 12 times in recent times, but says the experience remains just as tense.
“I think if you’re not nervous leading up to a grand final you are either sleep or dead,” he said.
“Everybody should have the butterflies because it means that you care and that it means a great deal to you.”
Meanwhile, Thirroul face Oak Flats in the reserves and Helensburgh meet Coniston in youth grade.
