This cash comes hot on the heels of the NSW Government announcing it will invest an additional $100 million on school maintenance this year.

Some $260 million of the funding will be invested this financial year, with Mr Ward saying the additional money will be allocated to schools with the highest maintenance needs across the Illawarra and Kiama.
“These great investments across our region will ensure that every student, in every school, has an equal opportunity to achieve excellence,” he said.
The 20 schools in the Kiama electorate will share in almost $1.6 million, with Mount Terry Public School ($798,038) to receive the bulk of maintenance cash during the 2018/19 financial year.
Some 28 schools in the Keira electorate will share in almost $1.4 million in maintenance cash this financial year.
Balgownie Public School and Pleasant Heights Public School top the list, slated to receive $285,755 and $234,861 respectively.
The 20 schools in the Shellharbour electorate stand to reap almost $2.6 million for maintenance projects.
Mount Warrigal Public School ($602,414), Oak Flats Public School ($345,177) and Dapto High School ($295,239) have been allocated the most for maintenance this year.
About $2.4 million has been allocated for the 23 schools in the Wollongong electorate.
Half of this cash has gone to Cringila Public School ($519,059), Coniston Public School ($479,878) and Wollongong Public School ($381,363).
Mr Ward said the additional funding was a huge boost for the region’s schools.
“Schools need constant maintenance and we are getting on with the job of ensuring our schools remain in tip-top condition because that is what our local teachers and students across the Illawarra region and Kiama electorate deserve,” the Kiama MP added.
