Earlier reports indicated there was three people thrown from the vessel however an Ambulance NSW spokesman confirmed it was only two people.
One patient is in a serious condition and will be taken by road to Wollongong Hospital.
The other person involved has "no obvious signs of injury".
EARLIER: Three people have been thrown overboard after a boat capsized at Bombo Beach on Sunday afternoon.
An Ambulance NSW helicopter and three crews have been tasked to the scene.
A NSW Ambulance spokesman said there were reports a boat had flipped in the water about 12.10pm
"There is someone in the water with a life jacket on," he said. "The person is breathing but unresponsive."
The people are on the beach. At least one person is receiving CPR.
