Beats for the Blues will play out at Ryan's Hotel from 11:30am to 11:30pm on August 17 with proceeds going to Beyond Blue and Support Act.
There will also be a Q&A panel (which can be anonymous) to discuss issues audience members may be facing.
The concert was the brainchild of contemporary electronic harpist Yasmine Russell who herself has experienced mental health issues as well as watched loved ones struggle also.
"I think it's something our community needs, a reason to get together to chat about what's support is available and have an open discussion about mental health," Ms Russell said.
"People are starting to talk about their mental health a bit more but if we have things like this ... it can make it more comfortable to talk about it rather than being at home at dealing with it yourself."
Ms Russell will perform with Mem Davis in the duo Little Strings, in a lineup which also includes Dream Good, Kane Crampton, Dan Demos, Michigan Water, Angus Murray Band and more.
The harpist has been playing her instrument since childhood but found songwriting the most helpful with working through her emotions and feelings, helping her through tough times.
Beyond Blue is an Australian independent non-profit organisation working to address issues associated with depression, suicide, anxiety disorders and other related mental disorders
Support Act is a charity, unique in Australia, helping artists and music workers who are facing hardship due to illness, injury or some other crisis that impacts on their ability to work in music.
The venue along with all musicians have donated their time and resources for the event. The cost is $20 either on the door or via www.events.humanitix.com.au
