The Atlas of Consciousness is taking part in a bootcamp at the Sydney Startup Hub from Monday to Wednesday to compete for a spot in the finals of the 2019 Jobs for NSW Regional Pitchfest.
With $20,000 on offer a win would be a major boost for the startup that shares ideas on solutions to world issues such as poverty and climate change through videos, podcasts and books.
Ms Gibbons said the recognition is amazing after two years of building her business by herself after a decade in the film industry. "There's been a lot of alone time, introspection and challenges".
"It feels like all the hard work is starting to pay off. I founded the business, I have done all the producing and the writing and collaborating with different video makers".
Minister for Jobs Stuart Ayres said the three-day bootcamp also involves the startups participating in a range of business development workshops.
"The Jobs for NSW Regional Pitchfest is all about shining a spotlight on the best new business ideas that are coming out of regional NSW and helping the entrepreneurs behind them take the next big step in their development," he said.
