Pugs dressed in their spookiest Halloween attire created quite a stir at the Figtree Dog Park on Sunday.

And in the process the annual Pugoween event helped raise more than $1000 for Pug Patrol Rescue Australia, who help rescue pugs, pug crosses and other brachycephalic breeds from abuse, neglect and exploitative breeding.
More than 40 pugs and their owners took part in the increasingly popular event.
"It really was a fantastic day. I was so happy to see the pug community come out in force to support this event," Pugoween organiser and Pugs & Co founder Kristy Beck said.
The fancy-dress competition, in which costumed pugs strutted their stuff to compete for the title of Best Dressed 2019, was a highlight.
"There were so many good costumes, it was hard to pick a standout," she said.
"We had three winners, Boston, Storm and Bucky.
"With the popularity of Halloween reaching new heights in Australia every year, it was only a matter of time before the fur-babies wanted to get in on the action.
"Pugs have a bit of an unfair advantage when it comes to dress-up competitions, because they're already so cute, so this levels the playing field."
Social group Wollongong Pugs meets at Figtree Dog Park on the second Sunday of each month, for a relaxing morning of pug play and conversation.
