According to its selling agents, Avantè remains on track for completion in May.
Located on the crest of Rawson Street, it features 77 residential apartments that sit atop four floors of commercial space.
Released to market in late 2017, more than 70 per cent of the apartments have sold.
"Providing a mix of lifestyle necessities and modern luxuries, Avantè has been designed to encapsulate the changing composition of Wollongong, which is seeing our beachside city evolve into an innovative and modern place to live," James Ianni, director of selling agents Ianni & Co. Property said.
The project is by builder and developer, TQM Design and Construct.
Mr Ianni said residents may be able to start moving in within a few weeks of the project's completion. He said it had proven popular with downsizers, with the majority of buyers so far being from the Illawarra.
"We're expecting the scaffold will come down in a few weeks, and at that point it's really going to show its skin," he said.
"At the moment everybody's looking up at that hill and all they can see is scaffold everywhere.
"But once the structure starts to reveal itself, at that point people will see the true beauty, and we'll start to get a lot more people inquiring."
The modern apartments feature high-quality modern finishes, including oak timber floors, stone bench tops, Carrara marble feature tiles, floor to ceiling glass, and ducted air conditioning.
The complex features one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments.
It also offers views of the coastline, the Illawarra Escarpment, and the broader Wollongong region.
Some of Avantè's apartments are still available for purchase.
One-bedroom apartments are priced $535,000 to $589,000; two-bedroom apartments $755,000 to $990,000; and three-bedroom apartments $1,265,000 to $1,295,000.
