As part of a national lighting production industry initiative, R & R Production Services illuminated the front facade of Kiama's old council chamber building as recognition of the work of frontline medical workers during the health crisis.
"Kiama is home to many of these front line medical workers, as well as front line hospitality and food providers, and as an act of solidarity, as part of this initiative we created the display the during the day, and ran it for a short period to obtain video and photographs," the company said. "It was not publicised till after the event, to ensure we do not get any crowd gathering."
A number of other buildings across the nation were lit, including the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, and shared using the hashtag #lightuniteau
R & R Production said it hoped to light the building again, for a more public show "after our world regains some level of normality".
