Corrimal Chamber of Commerce chairperson Paul Boultwood said he was sending out letters to sponsors and supporters on behalf of the chamber and the organising committee to explain the situation.

Mr Boultwood told the Illawarra Mercury the decision was made to cancel the largest free one day festival in NSW 'due to coronavirus regulations and limited sponsorship opportunities'.
But the man who has driven the event for many years and has previously saved it from being moved from the main street in Corrimal in 2019 is determined to start working now to make 2021 the biggest and best Spring Into Corrimal in its four decade history.
"2021 will be the 40th anniversary so we want to make it absolutely huge and try and make up for this yea," Mr Boultwood said.
"But that will depend on if we can get sponsorship".
In the letter Mr Boultwood sent out on Saturday he said cancelling this year's festival was not a decision the chamber took lightly.
"But but due to the ever-changing government regulations on festivals we feel that it is better to cancel the event for 2020. The safety of our guests, partners, stall holders and volunteers are paramount and due to the limits that have been placed upon event organisers incorporating the unknown we too have decided to cancel our event".
The letter said Spring into Corrimal was only made possible due to sponsors and supporters, as the chamber receives no money to operate from any government source.
"Due to the pandemic we understand numerous businesses have had to close for an extended period thus making it hard to sponsor any community projects including Spring into Corrimal".
