The news comes after Wollongong City Councillor Leigh Colacino planned to raise the issue of the corridor and traffic concerns in the northern Illawarra.
While there is a shed on a section of the corridor used under a licence agreement for livestock, a Transport for NSW spokesman said there were no permanent structures in the way.
"The corridor from the end of Memorial Drive to Bulli Pass has been reserved and this land is held by Transport for NSW," the spokesman said.
"To date there are no records of permanent encroachments on this land."
Regarding recent studies into traffic in Thirroul and Bulli, the spokesman said "funding is being sought so detailed development in relation to preferred options can be carried out".
