Figtree created club history on Saturday by securing this year's Men's Premier Division minor premiership following a thumping win over the Lions.
The Roos proved far too strong for the defending premiers, recording a 16.15 (111) to 5.10 (40) victory at Figtree Oval.
Figtree coach Will Ryan said it was the ideal way to cap off the regular season, especially after losing to Kiama a fortnight ago.
"It was good to bounce back. I think we had two weeks, we had the bye [in between], to let it sink in," he said.
"It was a good learning curve for us. We'd had a couple of really good wins against some other sides from the start of the season really and we probably started to get a little bit ahead of ourselves. So it was definitely a good reality check.
"It's really laid the focus in on the end of the season and getting ready for finals. The boys were happy, but they know it was just a stepping stone and the real stuff starts next week. That's what we're getting ready for."
After leading by 25 points at half time, the home side proved far too strong, booting eight goals to one in the final two quarters to round out the win.
Aidan Cook, Kyle Veerhuis and Brandon Lagana kicked three goals each for the winners while Ben Ryan and Mitch Daly were among the standout performers.
While pleased with the win, Ryan remains wary of the Lions when the two sides meet again in the first week of finals next Saturday.
"It's always good to get a win over the Lions but the regular season allows you to go play in finals, so finals is a different ball game," he said.
"We know that the Lions we meet next week are going to be very different to the Lions that we played this week, so we can't take anything for granted.
"We'll be playing on Dalton [North Dalton Park] by the sounds of it, so we'll have to adjust a bit there. We've played at Figtree the last couple of weeks so we've had to adjust to the smaller ground and play more contested footy. Dalton has a tendency to open things up and it rewards fitness, so we've got to bank on the harder work that we've been doing the last few months and apply that on Dalton.
"You've got to win on Dalton on the last Saturday. If we can't beat the Lions on Saturday, then we don't deserve to be there."
Elsewhere, the Wollongong Bulldogs confirmed second spot on the ladder with a thumping win over Northern Districts at Keira Oval. The result also ended the Tigers' 2020 campaign.
And Bomaderry finished their season on a high note by recording their first win in 2020, securing a 16.17 (133) to 9.5 (59) victory at Nowra Showground.
