ILLAWARRA coach Brian Goorjian doesn't know if his team has all it takes to win a championship, but it has a chemistry as good as any he's taken to the ultimate prize.

The Hawks are the NBL's hottest team having punctuated a 4-0 start to the season on the road with a 20-point demolition of the Taipans in Cairns on Thursday.
It proved Goorjian's side is the real deal and, for longtime fans, has evoked memories of the Hawks 'road warriors' team that Brendan Joyce took the club's first and only championship in 2001.
Goorjian insists his side is not getting ahead of itself, but the master coach says his players deserve all the credit for an undefeated start to their campaign.
"My name keeps coming up and it isn't me, honestly it isn't me," Goorjian said.
"When I came there there was not one player there, it's the first team I've ever coached that I've got to select every player. If you want to give me a pat on the back, it's [for] the guys I've selected in this group.
"Every player is about team, every player is working hard, every player wants to get better. There's no difficulties there. I don't remember, even in the championship teams, where there's not one guy where you come in and think 'this is going to be difficult today'.
"It was part of the selection process, it's what the community's about and I think, when we get home, it's something the fans are going to feed off. The older I get it just makes the journey, whichever way it's going to go, so much more enjoyable.
"I'm enjoying everything about this group, not only the winning, but the day to day and being around them which we've done a lot of for a long period of time now."
With the season still in its infancy, it's that character that leaves Goorjian adamant his side can roll with the punches when things inevitably get tougher as the season rolls on.
"We're going to get punched in the face. That's going to come and when that comes I've got a lot of confidence that this group's going to bounce back up and keep moving forward," Goorjian said.
"It is a long season, but you can't take these wins away from us. When we get hit, we've got four in our pocket on the road against two tough teams. Day by day, we'll keep moving forward and we're going to take our knocks.
"I've got no emotions around keeping guys happy and playing time. They've bought into that. I'm subbing to win, there's no favourites, everyone's playing to win."
Despite the scoring numbers the likes of Tyler Harvey and Justinian Jessup have put up at the offensive end, Goorjian said the team-first ethos is most evident without the ball.
"I keep thinking to myself when I look at the league - who's going to finish last?'" Goorjian said.
"There're not one game that you go into and you say 'we've got this team'. All these teams are tough and the consistency comes from the defence. I'm loving the score-lines and how we're winning and that's got to be the trademark long-term for us building this thing.
"It's been a focus point since day one when we first got together. We're playing hard, I keep talking to the team about that being a skill and they're buying in on it.
"That's why we're winning so far and if we're going to continue to win we've got to get better because the league's going to get better and it's going to get tougher."
