We are a multi-faceted gallery / venue / retail store featuring local creative's crafts, art, merchandise and performances.
The venue is run by Lachlan Rowe and has been operating since October hosting art shows, live gigs Xbox tournaments, and is sometimes rented out as a band practice studio.
Previously Mr Rowe was involved with Globe Lane's 3D Studios under the Renew Wollongong program, which operated in a similar vein by providing "a space for growth and development of skills for our musicians and artists".
The Wet Shoe Clubb plans to open Tuesday to Wednesday from 12pm to 4pm, Thursdays 12pm to 10pm, Friday to Saturday from 12pm to 11:30pm, and Sundays "by appointment".
Bands that have graced the Clubb's small stage since October include Space Boys, Adams Parade Band and The Salty Tenders.
Comedy nights and art exhibitions run at least once a month, according to their Facebook page.
There is currently a development application before council to officially change the use of the premises from a retail outlet to "gallery and venue". It is on public exhibition through Wollongong council's website until April 9.
