General manager Mark Sleigh said it was an important topic as the Australia prepares to open up borders again and the Illawarra was fortunate to have the nation's key tourism leader taking part in Monday afternoon's special event.
Mr Sleigh said everyone is welcome to register with Destination Wollongong for the 3pm webinar which is all about getting tourism back in business and giving Wollongong an insight into what it can expect.
"There is no bigger name in our industry than Pip," he said.
"She has done an amazing job taking on the role of managing director the week before the bushfire's hit in December 2019 and then navigating the COVID experience.
"She has been a true leader, challenging conventional thought and advocating strongly on behalf of industry while keeping a smile on her face and engaging with people as she loves to do.
"We look forward to hearing her advice as to the best way to rebound from all we have been through."
Wollongong 2022 chief executive Stu Taggart will be taking part in a panel discussion with Ms Harrison during the webinar.
He will be joining in live from Belgium to share his experiences from the UCI World Road Championships in Flanders and share some insight on what Wollongong can look forward to in September, 2022.
Also joining the panel will be leading Australian sports and events executive Geoff Parmenter, who has been helping develop Wollongong's UCI Bike City Strategy.
Mr Parmenter was on the Organising Committee for the 2000 Sydney Olympics and more recently on the bid team for Brisbane 2032.
