Tarj's aunts started a GoFundMe to help support the family of three, so mum Stacy and dad Darren don't have to suffer the added burden of financial stress while they wait with Tarj in hospital.
Donations have flooded in, including the generous contribution of $33,000 from mystery donor Yeoryios Kyriakos Markos.
Over the weekend the fundraiser exceeded its target of $60,000 and Tarj's aunt Emily Chapman said the family was overwhelmed by the community support.

"When I was in hospital for months, Stacy was by my side the whole time - that's just the kind of people they are," she said.
"They didn't expect this, and I'm hopeful we can go above and beyond to give them a really good boost and perhaps even look to support the Toll Rescue Helicopter Service."
Tarj's mum and grandfather endured a three-hour wait for the rescue helicopter after Tarj slipped and fell about 15 metres walking back from a family day out at Gerringong Falls.
He was being kept in an induced coma until late last week.
He remains heavily sedated, but his family is hopeful he may wake up this week in time for his cousin Archie's birthday.
His aunts have started a facebook page to keep supporters informed of Tarj's progress.
