As wet weather continues to halt momentum for the Illawarra Premier League, Football South Coast has opted to extend this year's competition in a bid to catch-up games.

Only 12 out of a possible 48 league matches have gone ahead in 2022 due to the ongoing rain, with the Lions also set to host Tarrawanna on Easter Monday.
FSC announced on Saturday that the IPL and District League would both be lengthened by six weeks to ease the potential congestion of make-up games, with grand final day now penciled in for October.
"We hope to be able to confirm the round schedule over the next four weeks. However, there is no change (other than dates associated with Bert Bampton and Youth Cup matches) to the calendar up to round 18 as a minimum," FSC said in a statement,
"At this stage, it is our intention to complete the Bert Bampton and Youth Cup competitions, however, this is subject to not losing any further football over the next month."
