Mercury reader Petrina Price caught a snap of the truck ablaze in the southbound lanes of the highway just after 9.40am near Remembrance Dr.
One of two southbound lanes is closed and traffic is queued for about 4.5km.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.
