Jason Clark knows only too well how much importance Souths coach Michael Maguire places on trial form and is hell-bent on featuring in the Charity Shield stoush in Wollongong.
Overlooked for the Rabbitohs' round-one demolition of the eventual premiers last season, Clark was forced to play catch up in a bid to bed down a permanent spot in the cardinal and myrtle.
While the Rabbitohs will delay a decision on their World Cup tourists' availability for the Auckland Nines, there is every chance a full-strength squad will head south on February 22.
"I don't know what Madge [Maguire] has got in the mix for that, but I'm hoping to be there and so will a lot of other players," Clark said.
"Everyone will be at their best to show what they've got in front of Madge."
