The family team prevailed 21-18 in a close game and then went on to win the crown with a stirring win over the triples team of L. Mair, J. Tarbert and V. Collins, the eventual score line 30-15.
The men's championships are rapidly coming to a close with two finals being played featuring players who carried their good form from last year into 2014.
First up was the prestigious major singles with last year's runner-up M. Wilson defeating R. McNamara 31-15.
The second major was the club pairs competition, in which last year's winners M. Weir and T. Boniface accounted for S. Bamford and A. Anstey 19-15.
One of the last events to challenge the calendar is the club minor pairs competition.
This event always draws a large number of entries and this year is no different.
First round winners included B. Hudson and K. Bratby.
