A team of Wollongong firefighters will travel to Warragul in Victoria on Wednesday to compete in the Australasian Rescue Challenge.

The competition runs from Thursday to Sunday and will involve three types of road rescue scenarios, including time critical, entrapment and controlled.
Wollongong team leader Andrew Barber said he was confident the team would do well, despite a minor hiccup.
"We sent a large box of rescue equipment down that should have been delivered last Friday but it's gone missing," he said.
"It's going to be interesting if that doesn't turn up - it's got a lot of our equipment in there."
The team from Wollongong will be up against teams from around the country, as well as teams from New Zealand and Singapore. State Emergency Service and mine rescue contingents will also compete.
"We're reasonably confident we'll finish strong," Mr Barber said. "We've put in some months of comprehensive training."
The top two teams will be invited to compete at the World Rescue Challenge, to be held in Portugal in 2015.
