Mia, with her coach Stuart Barkley also attending, was among just 16 juniors invited to attend the Gold Coast camp to train with leading talent development coach mentors.
The five-day schedule involved on-court sessions, physical testing, skills testing and match play at the Sports Super Centre and Hope Island Tennis Centre.
Before the camp Mia participated in the NSW PSSA State Tennis Carnival in Newcastle as one of six 12-years and under players in the NSW Bruce Cup Team.
The event acts as preparation for the national championship which is held in Darwin from August 16 to 24.
Mia regularly competes in Australian-ranked tournaments in NSW in the 12-and-under age group, playing girls two years older and more experienced.
Ranked No 1 in NSW for her age and No 2 nationally, Mia makes many sacrifices compared to other 10-year-olds but is driven to become the best tennis player she can be.
